The Larson Group Human Resources Generalist in Strafford, Missouri
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for applying HR principles and functions on a professional level. This position is to provide Human Resource support and guidance in the areas of Payroll, Benefits, Policy, Recruitment/Retention, Employment Law/Compliance, and overall Personnel Management to all TLG Locations. This position is sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains employee personnel files within the HRIS. Processes changes for pay data, employee position/status, tax changes and permissions with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Responds to the “HR” email in a timely and professional manner
- Administers TLG’s benefits program and ensures eligible employees are properly enrolled.
- Investigates and approves benefits/dependent/beneficiary changes submitted via ADP self-service.
- Explains benefits and process for enrollment and communicates where to find more information.
- Reviews reconciliation report with providers and resolves any discrepancies as needed.
- Assists with Open Enrollment (communication, approving benefits, verifying EOI’s, etc.).
- Demonstrates knowledge of TLG’s benefits program to educate employees and address any issues regarding enrollments or changes.
- Accurately processes weekly payroll input, bonus/commissions and auto allowance.
- Manages the time off and Time and Attendance exceptions.
- Ensures all payroll adjustments and/or discrepancies are addressed before processing.
- Transfers GL entries from the reports to excel and then into business system accurately.
- Creates accurate manual checks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience in a professional Human Resources role is required. 2 Years experience in a Human Resources role is preferred. Strong working knowledge with Internet Based Applications, and Microsoft office suite programs. Experience with an HRIS (ADP, PeopleSoft, Ulti-Pro, Kronos etc.) is preferred but not required.
