Beacon Health’s Western US Sales Team looking to hire a VP Strategy and Business Development to grow our public and health plan business. He/she will be responsible for acquiring new business, focused solely on our Beacon Behavioral Health business and achievement of an annual growth target. He/she will develop and maintain a strong new Beacon Behavioral Health business pipeline and effectively collaborate and relationship build with our internal and external clients.

[The selected candidate must reside in the Western US, as this is a work from home position covering the western US market]

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Takes ownership of the sales cycle from lead qualification through contracting. Builds strong client relationships and establishes executive credibility with key stakeholders including clients, government agencies, and vendor partners. Acts as a thought leader to our potential clients demonstrating cutting-edge knowledge of state and federal programs, health plan business and regulations, and understanding of key market trends. Collaborates with Account Management, Clinical, Government Affairs, Product Development, Operations, and other functional area leaders to translate identified market opportunities into viable, cost-competitive, and innovative products and solutions that will create profitable new business opportunities.

Qualifications

-BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred; at least 5 years of sales experience in healthcare; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Highly preferred experience:

-Extensive Behavioral Health background is highly preferred.

-Experience selling into Commercial/Medicaid/Medicare Health Plans, Behavioral Managed Care experience, or leadership experience at a public sector state or county organization similar to a Beacon Health Client.

-Prior experience with community cultivation on the state and local level with industry trade associations related to Behavioral Health.

Annual Salary Range*: $125,000 - $160,000

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
