Strategy & Program Development Director

Location: This is a work from home opportunity.

The Strategy & Program Dev Director is dedicated to working on Medicaid business development specific to Behavioral Health initiatives and part of the Diversified Business Group. The position is responsible for coordinating the relationship of a business unit with internal partners to ensure growth and compliance.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Researches new ventures and prospective revenue expansion opportunities.

  • Assists in creating strategic growth plans.

  • Oversees, creates, identifies, and leads profit and growth initiatives that yield positive membership growth and positive operating gains as measured in the annual goals.

  • Responsible for product strategy as it pertains to the line and region of business.

  • Collaborates and coordinates work with other departments within the business unit, and many matrix partners within the company, including but not limited to Finance, Actuarial, IT, and HCM.


  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field (MBA preferred); 10 years of related strategic planning, project and program management experience, with knowledge and experience in the behavioral health products and services of the healthcare industry; 5 years of experience in a senior management position; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Must have experience with strategic planning and business development in behavioral health

  • RFP experience is preferred.

  • Medicaid experience is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel may be required.
