TD Ameritrade Senior Analyst, Business Insights in St. Louis, Missouri
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for leading strategic analysis to inform & support business decisions of Marketing Leadership. The person in this role will procure data, perform rigorous analysis, discern insights, formulate recommendations, distill key findings for executive-level consumption, and present those findings to leadership.
This role will also have responsibility of supporting certain Marketing programs including, but not limited to (1) Early Tenure Management, (2) Promotional Offers, and (3) Lead Generation. As these programs continue to evolve, this individual will be relied upon heavily to develop deep client insights that will build better client experiences and maximize marketing effectiveness.
The position involves Senior Management exposure, a deep understanding of our internal data warehouse and BI solutions (Tableau), as well as strong SAS/SQL knowledge and the ability to work with large and complex data sets. This ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of autonomy, producing reporting, program forecasts, and ad hoc analysis with little-to-no guidance often with tight deadlines.
Lead the development of insightful ad hoc analysis to support decision makers within Marketing and across the firm
Leverage technical abilities to access large, complex and disparate datasets, translating Marketing requests into actionable data requirements, analysis, and recommendations
Maintain key relationships outside of Marketing, including Finance, Retail Distribution, and Product, to realize analytical synergies
Use data visualization & presentation skills to present findings in a clear and concise manner
Provide reporting and analytical support to the Early Tenure Management, Promotional Offers, and Lead Generation programs
Provide recurring reporting regarding new client onboarding to describe client engagement
Provide forecasts of offer spend based on new program launches or new account targets set by the business
Provide reporting and analytical support for lead generation programs, affiliate referral programs, as well as one-off campaigns aimed at lead generation
Provide consultative support to Program Manager(s), recommending changes/enhancements to supported programs as necessary
Take an active role in the continued transformation of supported programs as they evolve
Provide timely and relevant analysis to evaluate effectiveness changes as a result of strategic shifts made to offer strategy
Provide analytical support on an ad hoc basis for Marketing Leadership
Strong business acumen; ability to see how business decisions impact the client experience & the firm’s ability to drive revenue
Advanced knowledge of SQL
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
Experience using Base SAS
Experience using TDA’s internal data warehouse preferred
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the TDA Marketing organization, presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
Ability to manipulate, organize and analyze large data sets
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet required deadlines
4 year college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering preferred
4-5 years total experience
Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
