PRN Pharmacy Technician
Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in St. Louis, MO. This health center has a proactive, educative approach where employees are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.
As a PRN Pharmacy Technician you will assist in the preparation of prescription medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and oversee the acquisition of medications and pharmacy supplies.You'll have the opportunity to perform administrative duties such as answering phones, ringing up of member purchases and stocking of inventory and supplies. You will also follow methods and manner of storage and recordkeeping systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals and follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personal protective equipment. At least 2 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
At least 1 year of community and/or clinical pharmacy work experience
At least 1 year of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of this job
High School Diploma
Pharmacy Technician - State Board (required where available) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (required where state-issued license is not available) - Multiple Issuers
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Multiple Issuers
Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
