Aerotek Chemical Operator in St. Louis, Missouri

Description:

These 3 positions will all be C operators. 3 different levels of chemical reactor operators: C, B, A, with A being the highest complexity. Regarding the Job Descriptions currently on file, we’ve got B and C operators as below. No A operator. Essentially the A operator is the most educated on all the functionalities on the reactors. They operator several units while on shift and train other B/C operators. We’ve summarized all categories to the “chemical operator”

C-Operator,

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports ISO standards, environmental and quality programs.

  2. Staging of raw materials for upcoming batches.

  3. Loading of hoppers, weigh tanks and reactors.

  4. Learning and performing proper disposal of all empty raw material containers.

  5. Cleaning the 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor reactor areas, control rooms #1 and #2 and the lunchrooms.

  6. Learning all raw materials used in the batches, the proper storage locations, and safe handling procedures and techniques.

  7. Learn reactor set-up, check cut procedures and become familiar with all of the batch processes.

  8. Learn and follow all safety procedures and waste handling procedures.

  9. Ensures that all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed.

  10. Performs other duties as required.
