Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking qualified Data Analytics, Business Analytics candidates to participate in our Early Professional Hire Enterprise Operations & Services Rotation Development program.

Candidates selected will begin their career in an innovative business segment of Enterprise Operations & Services. Some of the areas we support include: Analytics, Quote to Cash, Strategy, Operations, Transformation, Enterprise Performance Management, Global Real Estate, Procurement and more. The IBM Enterprise Operations & Services team is part of IBM's Finance and Operations organization.

Responsibilities may include business data analysis, data visualization techniques, business planning, process and systems optimization, database management, analysis and interpretation of complex data, robotics automation and other activities required to support Enterprise Operations & Services teams.

The 2-year rotation program provides opportunities including but not limited to Executive Round Tables, Volunteering, Personal Finance Classes, Socials, Mentoring, Learning Badges, Leadership Training, and strong networking. We are looking for driven candidates who excel with interpersonal skills, communication, multitasking, organizational skills, technical skills, teaming, problem-solving abilities, and dependability.

Office locations for this program are Research Triangle Park, NC and Armonk, NY. With priority being in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of designing, building, and testing statistical predictive models from large data sets using SAS, SPSS, Python, R or similar technologies.

  • Understand the importance of building relationships and alignment across internal teams and key stakeholders within the organization to get projects completed

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles, experience in an Agile team.

  • Knowledge of applying advanced analytic methods to diverse large data sets to derive valuable insights, predictions and performance measures.

  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques.

  • Real-world problem solving experience & discovery skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Proven ability to multi-task without sacrificing quality or deadlines on individual projects.

  • Create eye-catching, high quality data visualizations that present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Preferred degrees of study: MIS, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or closely related fields.

  • Experience in performing and interpreting business cases and financial analysis.

  • Previous experience in application or implementation support domain.

  • Previous experience in shared services or process outsourcing is a benefit.

  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methods and practices.

  • Data processing computer language experience like Python/R/SQL etc.

  • Experience in applying advanced analytic methods to diverse large data sets to derive valuable insights, predictions and performance measures.

  • Experience in designing, building, and testing statistical predictive models from large data sets using SAS, SPSS, R or similar technologies.

  • Understanding of applications and toolsused atIBM such as Quote to Cash, Global Asset Management or Global Sales Incentives.
