Job Description:

System Director, Health Information Management

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and direct document management and chart analysis/correction.

  • Facilitate and execute provider notification processes regarding medical record documentation deficiency and delinquency.

  • Ensure data integrity and promote best practices.

  • Manage the design, structure, protocols and processes of HIM systems.

  • Provide day to day department operations to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operations.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Privacy and all company policies.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferred but not required

  • RHIT required RHIA preferred

  • Minimum of three years HIM department experience is preferred

  • Minimum of three years leadership oversite
