Job Title Live-In Support StaffReports to Program ManagerStatus Part-time, Day/Evening/Overnight Live-In Support Staff, Non-ExemptLocation Springfield, LifeHouse Crisis Maternity HomeApply online at: https://www.ccsomo.org/employment/Position SummaryThis position includes specific part-time hours that are designated as awake, support hours and hours designated as asleep, on-call hours. Employer will provide to Employee a living space located at the LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home. The live-in support staff is responsible for providing support to the LifeHouse residents and staff as needed during the overnight hours. Asleep, on-call hours shall be from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. seven days a week unless using benefit time. The live-in support staff must have a commitment to the agency mission. Employee is required to be at the LifeHouse premises during the asleep, on-call hours. While on call, the Employee may not imbibe alcohol or any other drug that would interfere with Employee's ability to drive. Employee may engage in any other appropriate activities, including sleeping, during the on-call time. In the event that Employee is called to work during the on-call time period, then Employer reserves the right to, but is not required to, alter Employee's remaining awake, support hours for that week to account for any on-call time worked. Employee is free to leave the LifeHouse premises for Employee's own purposes at any time outside of the awake, support hours and asleep, oncall hours.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties will include but are not limited to:Commitment to Mission, Vision, and Values of Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri; adherence to Catholic Social Teaching PrinciplesMaintain ConfidentialityAssistance in ensuring residents compliance with house rules and guidelines.Meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and food data collection, as needed.Assist in keeping the maternity home clean and in good running order to include cleaning, laundry, assistance with donations, and seasonal dutiesOffice work, as neededAssist with maintaining, organizing, and inventorying LifeHouse closets (clothing, hygiene, diaper)Answer LifeHouse phone calls and take/deliver messages, as appropriateResponsible for monitoring security cameras and ensuring safety measures are followed to keep staff and residents safe, including facility safety/security roundsMonitor resident's medication as needed.Transportation of residents to and from appointments as needed.Provide overnight back up coverage to support staff in case of an emergency.Participation in staff meetings, training opportunities and compliance with required staff education.Additional tasks and duties as instructed/needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation, Licensure, and CertificationMust be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.ExperienceVolunteer or work experience in a social service field working directly with clients preferred.Skills, Knowledge, and QualificationsMust have experience and a willingness to work in a fast-paced social service, faith based environment serving individuals and families from low to impoverished backgrounds.Must be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and able to build and maintain partnership internally and externally.Must actively maintain appropriate boundaries with clients, i.e. social media, phone, sharing personal information, and outside contact Strong speaking and listening skills.Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.Strong customer/client services orientation.Sound judgment and decisiveness.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possess personal character to work with expectant mothers and their children.Special Working ConditionsMust be able and willing to travel (locally) - 10%Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.May be extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as, some repetitive movementsValid driver's license and proof of current insuranceMust be ab
