We are actively seeking an Employment Specialist to provide support and guidance to clients in order to help them on their path to employment.
Must have knowledge of the Client’s Rights and ensure the rights are not violated
Provide services at times requested by the Program Director, this may include weekend and evening hours
Participate in the clinical team meetings in order to identify strengths and needs related to development of the client’s recovery path.
Assess clients for vocational strengths and training opportunities.
Arrange and refer for services and resources, as well as advocate to ensure the quality of service is up to standard in regards to what the person is entitled.
Coordinate and facilitate job skills training's, job search, and coaches for success
Have a working knowledge of community twelve-step recovery resources for the client and family members.
Monitor services by external providers to ensure communication and coordination of services
Provide experimental training in employment skills and resource acquisitions
Provide information and education to an individual in accordance with the person’s rehabilitation plan and plan for discharge
May be asked to participate in community events, media and committees as deemed necessary by leadership.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, nursing or a closely related field.
Equivalent experience may be substituted on the basis of one year for each year of required education.
