Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

The Position

Reporting into the Technology Financial Planning & Analysis Head, the Vendor Financial Operations Leader will be a key member of the Technology Finance team and will be the single point process owner for vendor financial operations functions including:

  • Ensuring that processes are in place to properly record assets and expenses to the ledger

  • Creating a planning and forecasting process with the required level of details to link current and future deal impacts to the Balance Sheet and P&L

  • Leveraging best practice process and systems; single system if possible

  • Holistic wing-to-wing process enabling visibility across asset classes

  • Further automation to eliminate manual, error-prone processes

  • Bringing transparency to costs and savings opportunities

  • Ensuring the procurement to pay processes are working effectively to record expenses, stable and timely on the ledger

This leader will manage the technology vendor operations functions for all technology assets and resource related contracts. Partners with CIO and Infrastructure teams to leverage and rationalize existing efforts with the goal of centralizing these activities across technology. Works closely with CIO, Infrastructure, Third Party, Supply Chain, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure consistent ownership, process, and controls across vendor financial operations functions.

Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes

  • Execute vendor financial operations functions across the technology organization including activities involved in order management, order settlement, financial management and reconciliation, product management, and reserve management

  • Establish strong partnership with Supply Chain, Third Party, Accounts Payable, and other relevant parties

  • Provide subject matter expertise in vendor financial activities for technology

  • Leverage best practices that exist, and expand to ensure single consistent process; look for continued opportunities to streamline and improve processes

  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness and cost savings

  • Work closely with risk partners as required to ensure appropriate risk management and controls exist

  • Ensure the right visibility to technology leaders of key vendor metrics

  • Manage communication and escalation with our vendor partners on requirements and issues

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: business process, quality assurance, strategic planning, or project management

  • 8+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 8+ years in technology finance operations

  • Management experience in a large, corporate, multi-line business organization

  • Experience in driving technology efficiencies and savings around vendor spend

  • Knowledge of international vendors or risk concepts

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully building organizational capability including high performing teams, process, and technology; includes a keen focus and proven results in developing a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement, customer loyalty and satisfaction

  • Experience working with external organizations such as: public institutions, regulatory agencies, and industry groups

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive and lead organizational change

  • Able to communicate at multiple levels ranging from individual contributors to senior managers, in both technology and business settings

  • Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, processes, and tools

  • Demonstrated successful communication, leadership, organization, and influence management skills
