The Tech Business Systems Associate Provides business analysis expertise for technology initiatives Partner with business and technology teams to analyze, interpret, and document requirements for simple to moderate business problems and recommend comprehensive technology solutions. Use domain specific and technology application(s) knowledge to conduct detailed analysis in response to business & technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements. Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams. Create and maintain project / systems documentation and proactively monitor & manage project schedules and deliverables. Work with business users to develop and provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes. Participate in system testing

assessment and project development life cycle. Applies deep knowledge of data accuracy, corporate policies and data security to any aspects of the project. May interact with vendors and external industry participants.

This is a technical position on the technology team supporting WIM Capital Markets Trading desk. Successful candidates should be comfortable discussing requirements with our business partners, be able to participate in the design discussions with the technical team and architects, develop code to meet requirements, and ensure all phases of implementation are completed with high quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendor applications for fixed income on the trading desk

  • Working on a AGILE team

  • Gathering requirements for development of Capital Market trading Solutions

  • Backlog grooming

  • Work with third party vendors

  • Acts as a liaison between Business Partners and Development teams

  • Working and knowledge of Alternative Trading Systems to help build solutions

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business systems analysis or design experience as demonstrated through work, military, or education

  • 3 + years of FIX protocol (Financial Information eXchange) experience

  • 3+ years of trading systems development or implementation experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of operation work flows/processes

  • Knowledge and understanding of governance and compliance expected from providing solutions in systems and technology domains

  • Knowledge and understanding of investment decision support, investment modeling, or trading systems

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders

  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Experience leading a business requirements process with both technical and business partners

  • Ability to gather business requirements and create technical solutions

  • Agile experience

  • JIRA experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Fixed Income ATS (Alternative Trading System)

  • Knowledge and understanding of governance and compliance expected from providing solutions in systems and technology domains

  • 5+ years of 3rd party vendor application development experience

  • 5+ years experience supporting trading applications

  • 3+ years application development experience in a bond trading systems environment
