Wells Fargo is seeking a Cyber Security Exercise Coordinator who will execute the full lifecycle of cybersecurity exercise activities, which includes the design, development, conduct and evaluation. These activities will focus on strengthening cybersecurity incident response and coordination processes within Wells Fargo, as well as with public and private sector partners. Additionally, candidate will coordinate with all areas of the bank to communicate lessons learned from exercises in order to improve Wells Fargo’s cybersecurity resilience.

The successful candidate will be distinguished by excellent communications skills, a passion for delivering excellent exercise events, and a commitment to enterprise-wide continuous improvement and collaborative incident response.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform planning, facilitation, documentation development, and coordinate follow-up activities for the Cyber Exercise Program.

  • Coordinate exercise planning teams comprised of Wells Fargo employees with varied technical and non-technical backgrounds to plan and execute cybersecurity exercises, including table top discussions and hands-on technical exercises in a cyber range.

  • Work with the multiple teams such as the Cyber Threat Fusion Center, Security Content Development, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Offensive Security, Legal, and other stakeholders to identify cyber risks, design threat scenarios, identify key stakeholders and participants, and execute the exercise against the planned scenarios and objectives.

  • Assesses observations and findings during exercises, communicate findings to stakeholders and escalate high risk findings to appropriate risk remediation efforts and ICS management.

  • Represents Wells Fargo in external financial sector exercises, such as those lead by the Financial Services Sector

  • Coordinating Council (FSSCC) and the Federal Government.

  • Coordinates participation in external cyber security exercises.

  • Partner with teams response for technology reslience, business continuity, and diaster recovery programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information security administration experience

  • 2+ years of Cyber Resilience experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies, including Information Security Frameworks, Standards, and best practices

  • Expert information security technical skills

  • Ability to manage highly complex issues and negotiate solutions across business lines

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization; including at the executive level

  • Experience creating assessment exercises

  • 5+ years of information security experience including experience in one or more of the following security disciplines: information security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, host/network forensics, cyber-crime investigation, penetration testing, business continuity, or cyber threat intelligence

  • 5+ years of Incident Management System experience

  • 5+ years of Incident Response Protocols and Tools experience

  • Experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management

  • Knowledge and understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats

  • Certifications in one or more of the following: Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP), Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE), Offensive Security Exploitation Expert (OSEE), or Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE)

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with information security tools such as an enterprise SIEM solution, IDS/IPS, endpoint security solutions, email/web security gateways, and other security detection/mitigation devices

  • Experience with host and/or network log analysis as applied to incident response / threat hunting

  • Knowledge of offensive security, with the ability to think like an adversary when hunting and responding to incidents

  • Strong ability to identify anomalous behavior on endpoint devices and/or network communications

  • Strong experience in operating system and application security hardening and best practices
