SUMMARY: The Training Coordinator under the direction of the Plant HR Manager, administers a variety of training and development programs for plant hourly employees within the assigned facility. Assesses training and development needs, and communicates those needs to the HR and Plant Managers. Helps individuals and teams develop appropriate skills and knowledge. Responsible for the planning and execution of learning and development content related to all phases of employee development. Provides training documentation, performance tracking and training delivery. This position will focus on the new hires and their experience with Daily's to help them with the transition from candidate to new hire to fully trained employee. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Focus on new hires and making sure they are getting the attention they need from their leads, supervisors, and on-the-job trainers. * Helps develop training programs for employees to include compliance, safety and Standard Operating Procedures SOP. * Oversees training progress of all new hires and work to resolve any training gaps for individuals with operations management. * Work with trainers to further develop the training process for new hires. * Determines training needs; prepares training aids such as instructional materials, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids, using a variety of media. * Recommends changes to course material and training manuals to meet specific training needs. * Create and implement a cross training program. * Assess employees' skills, talents, performance and productivity, prepare evaluations and make recommendations for improvement. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, human resources, organizational development or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred. A minimum of five years directly related manufacturing experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and write reports and business correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, candidates and the general public. Bi-lingual English/Spanish skills required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate Word, Excel, and ADP. Ability to operate basic office equipment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet but could be noisy when out on the plant floor.
