New Visions provides residential services and supports to adults diagnosed with a developmental disability.Supports are provided in the Nesoho area of Newton county and the Goodman area of McDonald county.GuidelinesProvide protective oversight for the welfare of the person or persons being supported:Maintain a professional and courteous attitudeCreate an environment of interactive communication and positive supportGeneral observation and accurate documentationMedication administration, charting and side effectsSafety procedures / Emergency responses / Event reportingEnsure outcomes are implemented, attempted and documentedFunctional mobility / Ambulation assistanceAdaptive equipment use and maintenancePersonal Device careMeal preparation and cleanupSpecialized diets / Dietary supplements / Eating assistanceBathing / Hygiene / Grooming / ToiletingHousekeeping / Household choresLeisure activitiesTransportation within the communityThe Missouri Department of Mental Health requires Direct Care Professionals to have a High School Diploma, Home School Diploma, HSE, GED or 5 (five) years healthcare experience that can be verified by a previous employer.i Applicants who do not have a diploma or its equivalance can be employed for 1 (one) year while pursuing a HSE/GED. New Visions must have evidence of enrolling in a HSE/GED program. The employee must have received an official HSE/GED certificate within 1 (one) year of start date or be terminated. If an employee does not obtain the certificate by the end of (one) year the Department of Mental Health will not grant an extension.i
