What You Will Do

This role falls within The Resource Group's Operations and Logistics Optimization Solution. Operations and Logistics Optimization is comprised of five communities working together to align inventory and data management, operational procedures, and key performance indicators, and to deliver a cost-effective, highly-efficient managed distributor model. By combining a culture of hospitality with leading operations and logistics processes and controls, these communities of skilled associates ensure resource and supply management runs silently in the background and operates in service of physicians, clinicians, leadership, and associates.

The Resource Group’s Summer Internship Program is an engaging and fulfilling experience designed to allow interns to obtain a wide range of healthcare supply chain knowledge. Throughout the 12-week experience, interns will work on unique personal projects, collaborate with other interns to solve organizational challenges, and learn new business & professional skills.

As the Operations Analyst Intern you will support all Operations Communities through identifying opportunities to increase supply chain efficiencies, improve inventory management practices, enhance the transparency and accessibility of data across teams, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to increase product savings. You will also learn about industry leading Key Performance Indicators and how our communities work to exceed them. You will be tightly connected with an intern cohort across The Resource Group, and will develop beneficial relationships through group projects. Responsibilities:

  • Learn about an industry leading Enterprise Resource Planning system; use its data to understand and analyze the inventory levels and usage of items across the health system

  • Manage an impactful project that will benefit several markets with a network of Operations intern peers

  • Develop tools in GSuite, Excel, Tableau, R Shiny, and other platforms that can be used by our communities to make efficient and confident business decisions

  • Gain first hand experience of healthcare operations through supporting day to day processes that provide the products that keep our associates safe and our facilities operational

  • Utilize supply chain analysis, project management, data cleaning/visualization, and critical thinking to support Operations leadership

What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School Diploma is required.

  • College Junior Year and above is preferred.
