Rise Baking Company Maintenance Manager in Mexico, Missouri

Position Summary:The Maintenance Manager position leads and facilitates maintenance operations to ensure all equipment in operational and works safely and efficiently. Coordinates work with maintenance team, engineering, and outside contractors to maintain continuous operations in a high-speed bakery manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

  • Directs, coordinates and facilitates activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, electrical and refrigeration.

  • Maintains the preventative maintenance program.

  • Set strategic and tactical direction to plan, schedule, direct, and control all maintenance processes in order that we can meet the customers? needs. This will include, but not limited to, managing repair, preventative maintenance, fabrication, and modification, installation of machines, tools, and equipment to maintain continuous operations.

  • Provides strong leadership and technical expertise to maintain existing procedures and drive continuous improvement.

  • Plans. develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.

  • Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with the management team.

  • Facilitates a safe work environment through auditing and inspecting areas for safety hazards and observing team members safe work habits.

  • Corrects all OSHA violations and potential hazards in a timely manner.

  • Supports all efforts in producing safe, quality products for our customers, including efforts in HACCP and food safety and security.

  • Ensures effective team member relations.

  • Provides coaching and development to assigned supervisors.

  • Resolves employee relations issues through problem resolution.

  • Balances quality, safety, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred. In lieu of degree, candidate must possess extraordinary experience applicable to the role and have significant certifications or training by accredited bodies recognizable in the industry.

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in a maintenance leadership role

  • Possess a strong understanding of PLC, HVAC, Electrical, and the ability to troubleshoot related issues

  • Ammonia and refrigeration experience required

  • Experience with GMPs, OSHA standards, and Plant Safety Programs required

  • Departmental budgeting experience

  • Must be able to manage shifting priorities

  • Must be able to manage a flex-time schedule as work demands? including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed

  • Experience with AIB standards, HAACP programs, and USDA guidelines a plus
