Responsible for timely, accurate MCC provider data maintenance in multiple databases to support claims payment, clinical/referral, area offices and reporting functions. Researches and resolves questions, complaints and grievances and ensures that information in all databases is accurate and properly configured to support operations.Researches and resolves provider claims issues and ensures systems are updated, timely, appropriately and accurately to support accurate claims payment.Responds to provider requests to update/change provider information and ensures that all changes are made within operational guidelines and accurately support all other systems related functions.Manages special projects within the unit, including prioritizing, distributing work, keeping records and keeping management informed of progress as well as outcome.Serves as training specialist for tasks within the unitResearches and responds to inquires from both providers and other MCC staff. Researches information regarding complex inquires, develops solutions and communicates outcomes by email.Performs peer audits within the unit.Records daily activities using electronic and manual systems as directed.Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Associates DegreeExperience: 1-3yrsExperience in customer service, data management, communications, or credentialing verifications required. In addition, 1-3 years experience in a behavioral health or related industry.Standard office equipment including telephone, copy machines, personal computer software (Excel) and mainframe/LAN data systems.Personal Computer software and mainframe/LAN data systems.Experience with IPD, CAPs and Facets.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College level courses; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.Experience: Three (3) years experience in customer service, data management, communications or credentialing verification required. In addition three (3) years in a behavioral health related industry preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proven customer service skills and the ability to successfully analyze and procure solutions to problems in a fast paced production based environment. Must possess a high level of technical aptitude and be able to organize and manage information in multiple system environments; manage multiple priorities, pay close attention to detail as well as be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
