Criterion Systems, Inc. is seeking a Windows Server Administrator in Kansas City, MO. Once hired you will be a part of the Application Integration Engineering Support Services Team. You will support a Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) product environment as well as custom integrations in those COTS environments. The employee will be required to contact data center customers, technical staff, business partners, management, and internal and external auditors.
Request Windows Server builds per customer processes and application system requirements.
Administer Microsoft Server & VMWare infrastructure, performing patches, vulnerability remediation, upgrades, etc.
Support IT infrastructure operations including troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, networks, and systems.
Install Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) software per vendor recommendations on Windows Server operating system.
Review patch levels of COTS software at least quarterly and install versions per vendor recommendations.
Monitor Incident and Service Request queue and perform work per customer requirements in the timeframe requested.
Adhere to customer Incident and Change Management processes for all activities performed on behalf of customers.
Design Windows Server based technical solutions
Administer user accounts in Active Directory, utilizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Create high-level task lists to implement customer designs.
Communicate and report on tasks associated with customer implementation projects associated with Windows IIS Web Application Servers.
Minimum 6 years of experience with job related skills.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with Windows Server systems.
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Competency with Windows Server Internet Information Services (IIS) including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Able to create, install, and configure SSL certificates on Microsoft Windows Servers
Functional knowledge of network and network hardware.
Prefer proficiency in Active Directory administration, including GPO (Group Policy Object) and ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services).
Prefer proficiency in Web and Email Gateways, Spam Filters, Proxies, DNS, DHCP, and certificates.
Ability to work in a hands-on role with commercial COTS software.
Prior experience working independently and as part of a project team with deploying, maintaining, and supporting software applications in a COTS environment.
Prefer Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
