Aerotek Tooling Technician in Kansas City, Missouri
The role of a Tooling Technician consists of repairing plastic injection molds, performing preventive maintenance on them and ensuring their reliability. Responsibilities include those outlined below as well as other tasks as assigned by the Company.* Complete repairs and maintenance on molds as assigned (injection, rim, trim, slush and other miscellaneous fixtures and gages);* Complete repairs and maintenance on EOAT’s as assigned;• Minor benching, spotting, fitting of inserts, and flash repair of molds;* Responsible for maintaining equipment in working condition, clean and safe at all times;* Maintain accurate tooling inventory;* Accurately maintain mold documents/books in database;* Troubleshoot molds in tool room and/or press with other members of tooling team* Root cause and analyze quality issues on parts to determine what issues need to be addressed on the plastic injection molding tools;* Support production to ensure tools are running efficiently;
