This position is in Kansas City, MO

Job Duties:

  • The KCNSC Sr Model Based Enterprise Engineer works collaboratively with internal and external leaders to implement Digital Engineering Technology solutions at one of the largest NNSA production facilities

  • These solutions are critical to managing complexity, increase engineering quality, and driving cost and schedule efficiencies into the manufacturing process

  • Major Technical Efforts in this realm include: model based analysis tools, digital manufacturing techniques and digital quality techniques

  • This role will develop and implement innovative and unique solutions across these technical efforts

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Model Based Enterprise, Digital Engineering or model based tools.

  • Provide technical recommendations to Management in order to enable the Major Technical Efforts that optimize the strategic goals given localized constraints

  • Develop and recommend improvements to the Major Technical Efforts to maximize the benefits to the current and future deterrence programs

  • Communicate with application users and mission SMEs from multiple functions (Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Quality, etc) to realize increased capabilities that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the stockpile

  • Provide recommendations related to KNCSC and development requirements with appropriate consideration of priority, scope, and schedule

You Must Have:

  • U.S. Citizenship - to obtain and maintain security clearance.

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or bachelors of science degree in Physics from and accredited program.

  • Six or more years of experience in product realization leveraging Digital Engineering techniques

  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques.

  • Demonstrated experience with Model Analytics tools, digital manufacturing techniques, or digital quality techniques

  • Experience solving problems with new and unique technologies utilized in a Model Based Enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated application of advanced design, development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to complex engineering concepts and projects

  • Demonstrated working without supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making

  • Demonstrated providing technical guidance, project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions

  • Demonstrated teamwork
