Helps ensure government and company compliance, and assists with the development and implementation of job-specific plans. Coordinates inspections with internal and external representatives and assists with the claims process. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESFollows standard McCownGordon procedures and policies to accomplish the following:Field/ Management Support* Attends weekly trade partner and OAC meetings to remain involved in project progress and safety matters, as appropriate.* Helps enforce government and company regulations to ensure associate and trade partner compliance by conducting job site inspections and addressing issues.* Reviews documentation to ensure all required onsite records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures.* Assists with the development and implementation of job-specific safety plans. Schedules jobsite visits and safety audits.* Researches new regulations and developments in the field of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and recommends changes in the company's program.Risk and Claims Management* Accompanies safety, health and insurance inspectors on job site inspections.* Coordinates with insurance carriers on coverage and claim issues.* Reviews scopes of the work to ensure all possible areas of potential loss are addressed.* Conducts work area inspections and assists in personal injury and property damage investigations.* Manages claims submitted to ensure the claim is handled effectively by the insurance carrier to obtain the most favorable results for all parties involved.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, Safety, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience* 2+ years of experience working in the safety field, or related field.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications* Valid driver's license WORKING CONDITIONSThe position requires work in an office environment.Note: This job description reflects a summary of the job and does not prescribe or restrict the responsibilities that may be assigned.
