Broadridge Financial Solutions Revenue Analyst in Kansas City, Missouri

Broadridge continues to experience strong growth. Our Kansas City Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to play a key role in supporting our Customer Communications product area. As the Financial Analyst, you will focus on Revenue Accounting and you'll partner closely with the Revenue Assurance/Billing team for special projects. This role will require a strong understanding of Revenue Accounting fundamentals, including accruals and deferrals. You'll be responsible for understanding the revenue drivers for various locations and will partner with business leaders to drive key finance/business processes. You will be a self-starter and will be able to take initiative to problem solve on your own. This position will be reporting to the Finance Director in Revenue Assurance with dotted line responsibility to the Senior Finance Manager in FP&A. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Month End Close responsibilities, including journal entries

  • Revenue reconciliation, including accrual vs. billed analysis

  • Review revenue monthly for accuracy and for variances to budget

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls

  • Produce reports and ad hoc analysis as needed

  • Complete SOX Controls

  • Provide support to internal and external auditors

  • Collaborate with various departments to meet business needs

  • Evaluate processes and drive efficiencies using critical thinking skills

  • General understanding of relational database structures and standardized querying languages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • 2 to 5 years' relevant experience

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Strong Accounting background preferred

  • Revenue recognition expertise is desired

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with Oracle and/or BICS is a plus
