This position requires independent judgement and interpretation of routine policies and regulations. * Provides computer applications such as word processing, graphics, presentations, developing formats, data entry and correspondence. Composes correspondence from marginal notes pertaining to established routines with minimal guidance. May take minutes of meetings or conferences. * Acts as receptionist giving necessary information. Receives and routes mail, sets up and maintains file systems. Compiles and completes data for reports and other documents or state/federal regulations. * Maintains adequate inventory supplies. Requisitions or orders supplies and equipment. Maintains budgetary status information. Stocks department with supplies. * Maintains and coordinates office activities during and in the absence of Nursing Staff. * Checks records and papers for clerical and arithmetic accuracy, completeness and compliance with established standards and procedures; index charts. * Performs other work duties throughout the department as delegated. * Promotes quality improvement, staff and patient safety, and cultural diversity through department operations and by personal performance. * Presents a courteous and helpful demeanor, appropriate for age, to all patients, visitors, other Company employees/medical staff members, or any other person an employee encounters while representing Company Medical Center. * Maintains current knowledge related to applicable statutes, regulations, guidelines and standards necessary to perform job duties in accordance with the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Plan. Complies with the requirements of the Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Plan and Compliance Policies and Procedures, including training requirements.
