The Manager I-Wire Operations Team is a part of the Electronic Payments team that assists with the processing of incoming and outgoing wires for the entire UMB footprint. Within the Electronic Payments environment, this team interacts with various UMB clients and internal partners to evaluate and process requests the ingoing and outgoing transfers of wire payments for domestic and international clients. With our robust training to provide extensive UMB and financial knowledge, the Electronic Payments team provides education and modernization for our electronic payment capabilities.

The Manager I-Wire Operations Team has a specific and impactful function for our clients and UMB to ensure requests of wire payments are processed accurately. The Electronic Payments team are subject matter experts that assist to reconcile and transfer funds in and out of accounts.

The Manager I-Wire Operations Team is responsible for supervising daily Operations activities for our Wire Operations Team. This position ensures our staff is properly developed to carry out their daily responsibilities and effectively service business partners. The Manager I-Wire Operations Team will interact with associates through formal and informal means to ensure we are creating a productive, engaged workforce. They will also provide a high level of expertise to business partners and help them provide TUCE to UMB customers. You can expect a fast-paced environment with unpredictable scenarios while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to client needs. How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will use problem solving skills to determine what action needs to be taken to resolve issues for wires transactions and team situations.

  • You will need strong communication skills to interact with associates to ensure productivity and engagement is present throughout the team.

  • You will to have proactive thinking to develop controls which reduce risk to the organization.

  • 5 years experience in Bank Operations

  • Associates Degree
