What you’ll be able to do:
Building the future of mobility requires parts and components of the highest and most consistent quality. In this key role, you will facilitate our Critical Supplier Process to drive supplier site quality reject (QR) performance improvement. This will involve driving the resolution of external supplier processes – 1MIS through 3MIS warranty concerns through ECB binning, supplier notification as well as driving assembly plant containment with the supplier. You will:
Participate in whiteboard reviews and sub-system variability reduction team (VRT) meetings
Support QR procedures through concern binning, reviewing threshold QRs and providing support for QR Dispute resolution
Assist the Incoming Quality (IQ) department with non-responsive suppliers
Support suppliers and plants in QR/PPM (Parts Per Million) data accuracy
Administer part quality confirmation process for suppliers with repetitive containment failure
Lead containment of special-cause supplier processes
Align with VRT on supplier process (SP) BSAQ issues for glidepath values.
Engage Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) site team in support of potential stop shipments
Assist site STA team with vehicle on-hold and release process tracking
Work with stop ship stakeholders to support proper root cause identification
Monitor daily production report (DPR) and notify STA management on critical issues
Act as direct Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) resident supplier representative
Serve as liaison between STA and plant management
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Three or more years of experience in Quality environment
Our preferred requirements:
BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
In-depth knowledge of problem-solving tools
Solid background in manufacturing processes
Proven experience in plant manufacturing and quality
Strong communication and team building skills
