SVG is looking for a process and improvement focused individual to join our growing HR team. We are hiring for a new HR Coordinator, someone who will be responsible for assisting our Director of HR Business Partnerships, HRBPs and HR Generalists with employee relations, systems, compliance and administrative requests and needs. What You’ll Do:

As an HR Coordinator, you will be assisting with a wide variety of projects on the HR Business Partnership team including, but not limited to, employee relations, compliance, and technologies and systems. You will be responsible for responding to baseline employee questions and and Jira tickets, assisting HRBP/Generalists with HR investigations and exit interviews and responding to ex-employee inquiries and sending separation letters/agreements.

From a compliance perspective, you will respond to all unemployment inquiries and claims and attend unemployment hearings. You will also respond to current employee requests for employment and pay verifications, order state labor law posters for all locations, and stay abreast of state and local laws that impact SVG locations. Acting as a subject matter expert for our managers, you will assist with job descriptions and follow-up on HR initiatives and programs. You will also assist with SVG systems audits, reporting and transaction approvals in Workday, update Workday job aids, assist with iCims internal movement approvals, and edit, store and organize documents for the HR Business Partnerships team on the SVG intranet.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or other relatable field OR equivalent relevant work OR military experience

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws and practices

  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Experience with HR Information Systems and data reporting

  • WorkDay experience is preferred, but not required

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to successful manage time and priorities
