JOB DETAILS
The MAKO Sales Associate is responsible for the development of the lead generation, account management, and cross-selling to new and prospective MAKO clients. This position will work closely with Territory Executives to consistently and effectively close new MAKO clients and enhance the MAKO experience with current MAKO clients.
Duties and responsibilities
Account Management:
Collaborate with Territory Executive on affidavits, rejections, and demographic errors
Establish laboratory pricing agreements with MAKO clients via MAKO software
Train client staff on MAKO protocols and procedures
Follow-up with MAKO internal Client Services, IT, Logistics, and Supply Chain regarding client requests and optimal workflow goals
Cooperate with Patient Services Representatives (PSR) and PSR support staff regarding scheduling and client requests
Demonstrate a commitment to the healthcare industry staying educated on the new regulations, MAKO product solutions, innovations, and trends
Lead Generation:
Actively build relationships with medical professionals and prospective clients through networking, medical, and community organizations.
Initiate and develop new business by searching for potential clients for MAKO products and services via networking, cold-calling, and relationship selling.
Earn trust and respect of MAKO clients and warrant the ability to ask for referrals to future MAKO clients Qualify opportunities and work with Territory Executive convert them to new MAKO clients
Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients
Develop and foster new business relationships with physicians and medical practices.
Conduct outbound lead follow-up and engage in consultative-based selling
Nurture outbound and inbound sales lead opportunities
Cross-Selling:
Effectively communicate, educate, and present MAKO products, service offerings, and value proposition
Write thank you notes and client appreciation follow-ups
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Four (4) years bachelor’s degree
2-4 years of outside sales experience, medical sales experience preferred
Must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written
Must be experienced and successful selling technical solutions, a successful prospector, and be able to independently develop new prospects in a highly competitive environment
Show proven track record achieving sales lead gen and appointment expectations
Ability to multi-task daily projects and commitments and employ structured selling methods is required
Must have strong inner drive and self-discipline, proficiency in all Microsoft products

Working conditions
Sales Associate sets their own hours to fit provider’s schedules, often having appointments in the early morning, in the evening, or at lunch and according to direction of the Territory Executive. Sales Associate may spend much time traveling and often have to wait to see providers despite appointments. Due to the competitive nature of medical sales, Sales Associate must be able to cope with stressful situations caused by competition for access to providers. during their limited free time.
Physical requirements
Must be able to speak, read, write, type, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs for events.
