This Electrical Engineer will fulfill a technical role in the Final Electrical Assembly organization
Engineers in this organization provide engineering support of highly technical product and processes typically requiring specialized qualifications, knowledge, and/or skill
This engineer will have product engineering responsibilities including: development, evaluation, production, trouble shooting, and quality control functions on complex engineering projects and electrical and electromechanical assemblies
This position will be responsible for partnering with supporting business units and ensuring products are built to specification and function as intended
Translates design agency concepts into production items by coordinating the activities of engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related organizations
Influences design agency for new designs, defines and recommends design changes, and alternate designs of instruments, and test equipment, and orders tooling, gaging, and equipment necessary to assure product quality
Plans and performs engineering testing and development programs and uses advanced statistical and scientific methods to address and resolve critical engineering and production problems to assure product manufacturability
Determines acceptability of processes and materials in conjunction with customers, design agency, quality, and other affected organizations
Interacts with customers, design agency and/or supplier counterparts to resolve moderate to complex design, development, production and acceptance issues
Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to """"stop"""" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.
You Must Have:
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program
No prior experience required
Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation
Ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q clearance
Broad knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques
General knowledge of flex cable design and understanding of surface mount technology
Knowledge of HASS testing and electrical troubleshooting
