The Team Leader (TL) is responsible for leading a group of employees with the primary purpose of achieving a minimum of defined KPI goals for their area. Creating a trustworthy environment where employees become motivated is a critical role of the TL. In order to accomplish this the TL is responsible for insuring: (multiple positions available - 2nd and 3rd shift)less thanbr>less thanbr>1.) A safety conscious, safe work environment;less thanbr>less thanbr>2.) A team that understands the business and the importance of Quality, OEE and Customer Service;less thanbr>less thanbr>3.) Proper communication in all aspects relevant to the employees job, and;less thanbr>less thanbr>5.) Proper accountability and recognition for individuals, as well as team, related to production performance of their area.less thanbr>less thanbr>The objective of the TL position is to continuously improve products and processes; Customer satisfaction, productivity and quality are increased; effectiveness is improved and costs are reduced. Standardization is ensured in a consistent and sustainable manner.less thanbr>less thanbr>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:less thanul>less thanli>R esponsible for providing a safe work environment and promoting safe work habits in all employeesless than/li>less thanli>Insures all employees receive all require safety trainingless than/li>less thanli>Responsible for creating a motivating atmosphere of trust and open communication where:less thanul>less thanli>Employees are engaged and actively participating in performance improvementless than/li>less thanli>Take ownership and responsibility for the performance of the teamless than/li>less than/ul>less than/li>less thanli>Monitors and evaluates KPI goals for the work area and holds each individual accountable for performanceless than/li>less thanli>Uses standard shop floor management (SFM) board and tracking sheets as a means of feedback on KPI'sless than/li>less thanli>Escalates performance issues by involving PL in all performance related daily meetingsless than/li>less thanli>Provides recognition related to performance goalsless than/li>less thanli>Responsible for maintaining a competent, skilled work group.less than/li>less thanli>Trains new employees using approved training model / material provided by training and developmentless than/li>less thanli>Trains current employees related to refresher training/new procedures/new equipment/performance etc.less than/li>less thanli>Evaluation of employees - Provides feedback to PL for employee evaluation purposes and is present in meetings where the evaluation is communicated with employeeless than/li>less thanli>Reports KPIs to management per SFM N.A. regional standardless than/li>less thanli>Understands the relevant processes of their area and can fill in for absent operators if neededless than/li>less thanli>Has high technical skills and can perform changeover, machine set up's and trouble shootingless than/li>less thanli>Implements continuous improvement and cost saving activitiesless than/li>less thanli>Responsible for shift to shift communication and knowledge transfer regarding priority items, down time etc.less than/li>less thanli>Supports in the development and enhancement of training materialless than/li>less thanli>Other duties as assigned by Supervisorless than/li>less than/ul>less thanbr>less thanbr>less thanbr>less thanbr>Qualified applicants will have:less thanbr>less thanbr>less thanul>less thanli>Technical degree preferred but not requiredless than/li>less thanl
