Summary

Spire is seeking a Transportation Specialist. This position will be responsible for administration of the fleet management tracking system to ensuring compliance of all Fleet State and Federal regulations for its vehicles and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ + Administrate, manage, and generate reporting in Fleet Focus M5 fleet management system

  • Maintain lease database and payment

  • Oversee and create prepaid payment request for Department of Motor Vehicle transactions related to licensing, sale tax, or other requirements

  • Manage Manufacturer’s vehicle and equipment recalls for Missouri LDC’s

  • Wet fuel tracking and payment

  • Ensuring compliance of all federal regulations in regard to DOT vehicles and equipment, with regards to MCS150, International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and International Registration Plan (IRP)

  • Fleet card administrator; ordering and cancelling cards, and troubleshooting issues

  • Create requisitions for purchase of oil, diesel, and gasoline for Missouri facilities

  • Assist in pulling various department reports as required

  • Act as critical coordinator in verifying and reconciling mileage reporting for company vehicles

  • Assist in sale of vehicles and equipment, by creating work orders, title work, shipping arrangements, etc

  • Fill in for supervisory positions as needed

  • Regular attendance is considered an essential job function

  • All other duties as assigned

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • High school diploma/GED required (Associate’s Degree preferred)

  • Certificate in Automotive and Diesel Technology preferred

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Excellent communication

  • Four years of experience in the automotive fleet maintenance or repair industry preferred

  • Previous experience in database management, Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point

  • Familiar with Database Technology and business applications

  • General mechanical knowledge of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment preferred

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Normal office conditions with the possibility of limited travel.

  • Hours Typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

  • On call responsibilities for a full week every over week
