Site Supervisor Presidential Library - contingent on contract award
Objective
This position is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for supervising Armed Security Officers, protecting, safeguarding and securing assets, personnel, customers and visitors to a federal facility. Job duties that require supervision include, but are not limited to:
Essential functions
Be able to read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly and clearly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public.The ability to maintain a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose in the English language precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports as necessary.
Job Duties
Provide supervision for ASO workforce.
Scheduling officers.
Complete payroll.
Performs security patrols.
Enforces access control procedures.
Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
May perform other related duties as assigned by the VP of Operations.
Candidate Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old
Must possess at least ten (10) years of specialized security experience, either military or civilian and security management experience.
Must have been responsible for managing at least a 10 member armed security service force for (3) years.
Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university in police science, security management or law enforcement.
Must be efficient with Microsoft products and the use of technology to verify schedules and compliance.
Must posses or be able to obtain the State Security Guard Certification Card
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
The applicant is required to submit to pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
The applicant must obtain client/site suitability approval
Additional training required.
