We are seeking a current Doctorate candidate to assist with the design and analysis of aerodynamic/aerothermodynamic flight vehicles to ensure that requirements are met. The selected Graduate Researcher will assist with certification and qualification processes of the aerodynamic/aerothermal characteristics of flight vehicles. They will aid in the implementation of a rapid, high-fidelity simulation of flows ranging from transonic to hypersonic, and vehicle-system optimization including but not limited to flow control, mold lines, bleed, and wall temperature.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field of Study with a completion date on or after August 2021.
The ability to work a minimum of 10 weeks (12 weeks preferred) in Summer 2021.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Background in research related to computational modeling of boundary-layer stability.
