We are looking to grow our programs with enthusiastic people who are passionate about using innovative approaches to empower others for lifelong success.Receptionist/Custodian-Head Start, Moberly, MOStarting Salary: $8.64 - $8.9220 hours/39weeks annually Hours: 7:30 am - 11:30amJOB SUMMARY:Serves as the first point of contact at the center for families and staff on a daily basis. Performs a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information while overseeing payment information, management documents, and the like. Works to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for children, families, and staff. Meets all sanitation guidelines, as set by the State of Missouri. Engages in deep cleaning as necessary to maintain the facility.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinates the general operations of the center with regards to organization of work areas, answering phones, the greeting of families and visitors, etc.Assists with all secretarial and clerical duties for the Center Manager.Manages meeting logistics for events held by the center. Ensures financial oversight of extended day/parent co-pay payments. Maintains a clean, safe and healthy environment. Informs supervisor of needed supplies.Performs general maintenance in and around the building. Ensures cleanliness and schedules the routine maintenance of center vehicles. Inspects playgrounds to ensure free of any safety hazards. Maintains on-going communications with staff, supervisors, and parents. Maintains confidentiality in all matters relating to children, families, and staff pursuant to the program's confidentiality standards. EDUCATION AND SKILLS:A high school diploma, GED, or HiSet is preferred. Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures is preferred. The ability to plan and organize work, adhere to Health Department regulations and Head Start performance standards, follow directions, handle basic math, and maintain confidentiality. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written), be flexible, display patience and understanding is essential. Training and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid and a valid driver's license are additional requirements. Strongly encouraged to enroll in a child development associate credential program to be completed within 2 years of hire. Additionally, the ability to take initiative, make independent judgments, and promote teamwork is required to successfully fulfill this job's responsibilities.
