Monitors the collection activities to ensure compliance with SOPs. Serves as a resource for donor eligibility and phlebotomy complications. Responsible for meeting projected production goals. Delegates duties to staff; Coordinates with mobile chairperson. Promotes positive image of CBD to community. Performs duties of Site manager in his/her absence (Fixed site CS only).Supports organizational quality efforts by accepting responsibility for:Initiating action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system.Identifying and recording any problems relating to the product process, and quality system.Initiating, recommending, or providing solutions through designated channels.Verifying the implementation of solutions.Controlling further processing, delivery, or instillation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.Essential Functions:Supervises blood collections at mobile/fixed sites.Trained on all tasks required of Donor Care Technician I and II (as applicable) and Senior Donor Care Technician (as applicable).Functions as a resource for staff in regard to donor criteria and vein suitability.Functions as a resource for donors' questions and concerns.Functions as a resource for difficult venipunctures.Review QC reportsEnsures staff compliance with SOPs.Determines job assignments, breaks, and meal times for staff. Coordinates with mobile chairperson and volunteers.Handles or seeks help for emergencies that occur.Ensures compliance with CBD safety policies and procedures.Maintains confidentiality of personal information regarding donors and staff.Responds to staffing problems, donor/staff complaints, and counsels donor and staff as needed.Provides written evaluation of staff in regard to performance and compliance with SOPs.Provides documentation when needed regarding staff behavior and/or attendance problems.Promotes customer service and a positive image of CBC to community.Maintains prompt and regular attendance.Responsible for maintaining and reconciling monthly equipment inventory.Must be able to confidently communicate and interpret intermediate information in English to all members of the public and CBC staff.General Duties:Maintains knowledge of donor interview and phlebotomy tasks.Performs registration, unit processing, and duties of MUOs when needed (as applicable).Ensures proper equipment is available for collections.Orders supplies as needed.Review DHFs for accuracy and completion.Serves as a role model for professionalism in manner, appearance, and relationships with staff and donors.Communicates with Training Manager and Specialist regarding retraining when staff not compliant with SOPs or having difficulty performing job duties.Stays current with all changes by attending scheduled in-services.Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned related to the position.Maintains professional demeanor and attitude.
