National Dentex Maintenance & Custodian Specialist - 2nd Shift in Fenton, Missouri


Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 30+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring for a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Keller in Fenton, MO for a Full-Time Maintenance & Custodian Specialist.

Hourly rate of pay is negotiable and will be determined by skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience.

The regular hours for this position are from 3:00pm to 12:00am, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Sweeps, vacuums, mops, dusts, strips, waxes, polishes, and buffs floors, carpets, and furniture, etc.

  • Empties trash cans and garbage and relines cans

  • Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies; cleans spills; cleans drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, walls, fixtures, blinds, light fixtures, etc.

  • Washes windows, walls, metal, and woodwork surfaces

  • Inspects and maintains assigned custodial equipment and small tools for proper operating condition

  • Opens and closes locks and unlocks facilities as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Working knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in building maintenance; Knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building maintenance

  • Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule

  • Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions and to establish effective working relationships

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used

  • All equipment and chemicals utilized in the laboratory for production or maintenance

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time repeated bending and kneeling

  • Must be able to work from ladders or aerial work platforms

  • Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reaching with hands and arms; vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

  • The team member may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 80 pounds
