Description
Job Summary: To provide basic medical care and ensure a safe experience for guests and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide basic and advanced emergency and non-emergency medical care to team members and guests in accordance with established park and SSM EMS protocols
Perform drug and alcohol screens on team members in accordance with park policies
Triage patients when multiple calls or patients overwhelm available personnel; make appropriate determinations about dispositions and transports
Complete safety audits inspections at direction of the department supervisors and leads
Assist with safety investigations and corrective actions, as needed
Maintain a clean work area; perform basic cleaning of First Aid facilities (mop floors, vacuum carpets, empty trash cans, wipe down counters and beds, First Aid van is vacuumed and cleaned; etc.)
Safely operate department vehicles
Use an electronic tablet for documenting reports
Answer calls for emergency assistance via telephone and radio
Complete checks on bags, vehicles, and treatment areas before, during, and after each shift; restock supplies as necessary
Accurately and legibly complete required documentation
Maintain the Six Flag’s guest service standards
Maintain a regular, prompt attendance record
Other duties deemed necessary by department leadership

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.; Ability to push and pull up to 200 lbs.
Must be professional, self-motivated and have an enthusiastic attitude
Occasional running, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and crawling
Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must have strong teamwork skills and ability to work with others
Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat and high levels of humidity and rain, occasionally for extended periods of time
Ability to work occasionally in confined spaces and from high elevations.
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of, and ability to use, all BLS equipment used in the park (pulse oximeter, glucometer, splints, stair chair, etc)
Valid Missouri State EMT license, with a valid CPR card
Valid State Driver’s License
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Computer proficiency
Strong written and verbal communications
Reliable transportation
