American Outdoor Brands Corporation Sales Associate - International in Columbia, Missouri

The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting the Sales Manager(s) in growing Shooting/Cutlery/E-Optics and Camping categories with all U.S. and Canadian customers in the Sports Specialty class of trade ("COT"). Primary responsibilities include supporting the relationship with all customer buyers, executing monthly/quarterly sales plans and promotions, updating monthly/quarterly forecasts as well as providing sales representative agencies the support they need to execute those plans. Additional responsibilities include providing Customer Service with correct pricing, program and promotion information for all customers, working trade shows and/or customer events, assisting the Sales Manager(s) in developing weekly/monthly performance results as well as being a consistent resource on market conditions, competitors, product performance and product recommendations. The position will report to the Sales Manager(s) for Sports Specialty Outdoor Products & Accessories.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years sales experience with Outdoor Recreation retail/wholesale customers, preferably in the Hunt, Shoot, Camp and/or Fish segments, delivering target results on a portfolio of Outdoor Recreation products comprised of 4 or more brands across multiple categories

  • 1-2 years experience as a direct, inside, independent or ambassador sales representative in the United States that serviced the Hunt, Shoot, Camp and/or Fish segments

  • Proven track record of developing long-term customer relationships at the Buyer and Asst. Buyer level

  • Proven knowledge of products as well as use of those products in the Hunt, Shoot, Camp and/or Fish segments

EDUCATION

BS or BA undergraduate degree required

OTHER

Position requires individual to be available to travel 1-2 weeks each month
