Moneta Group Staff Accountant in Clayton, Missouri
Moneta seeks a Staff Accountant to join our Enterprise Services Team in the St. Louis office. Working closely with the Accounting team this individual will learn our Accounting operations from the ground up. The Staff Accountant will participate in full-service accounting for the firm including Accounts Payable, Journal Entries, ACH payments, and more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, strong communication skills, and will have a keen eye for detail.

Prepare bank reconciliations on monthly basis and reconcile to general ledger
Prepare monthly journal entries, analysis, and related schedules for reconciliation purposes as a part of the month-end process
Review bookkeeping and billpay services provided by Bookkeeping Specialist on a monthly basis
Understand our expense reporting process, provide backup when necessary
Provide back up to the Accounts Payable process, know the process and step in to help when necessary
Set up ACH payments and record cash transfers
Prepare 1099s annually
Assist with Partner P&L reporting
Assist with process documentation as needed and ensure compliance with all internal processes
Provide accounting support to other team members
Demonstrate ‘Raving Fan’ service in all interactions
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
1+ years’ experience in Accounting
Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required
Knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting software a plus but not required
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organization and time management skills
