Project manages diverse event portfolio and event marketing team.
Project manages diverse portfolio of corporate event types ( seminars, executive roundtables, sponsorships) with specific teams mapped as event type specialists. Drives alignment of messaging and overall strategy; helps to ensure that the right event is delivered to the right audience at the right time. Drives creative thought process and continuous evaluation and refinement of Oracle's event marketing portfolio. Provides management with reports and analysis on program efficacy for future program selection and budget allocation. Provides effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in area of event production and design. 8 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable.

Senior Event Manager: Content Management, Corporate Events
If you're an experienced event marketing professional passionate about content, in this role you'll have the opportunity to create engaging content and product demonstration programs that elevate Oracle's brand. As a member of Oracle s Corporate Marketing team, you'll take part in the planning and execution of international conferences and special events designed for Oracle s customers, prospective customers, partners, media and analysts. You'll be a part of the core team that delivers some of Oracle s largest and most strategic event programs; events which drive brand awareness, develop and advance pipeline, and educate and inspire attendees around the globe.
Supports the creation of meaningful, memorable event experiences for Oracle's customers, prospects, and influencers
Work with cross-company teams to help determine overall conference session content and product demonstration strategy for the event portfolio
Collaborates across a global team; partners with colleagues and agencies around the globe to support and execute international events
Works closely with direct manager and across corporate event team to accomplish above
Note: This is an individual contributor role
Proven success in all aspects of content and logistics for large events and conferences
8 years relevant industry experience
Design / graphics experience a plus
Able to focus on multiple projects at the same time
Strong organizational and communication skills
Resourceful, self-starter. Sense of urgency and strong work ethic
Excellent team player
Some international travel required
Candidates currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area are preferred.
