The Boeing Company Mid-Level Software Engineer in Berkeley, Missouri
The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join the Virtual Warfare Center group located in Berkeley, MO.
The selected candidate will be a part of core IR software team, and will work with physicists and system engineers to develop IR sensors/cameras detection and optimization software. The candidate will also integrate the IR software to various embedded platforms and simulated environments with coordination from cross-functional teams and various stakeholders.
Work on all phases of the software development life cycle including design, algorithms, development, testing, and integration of IR software application for embedded and simulated environment
Communicate with leads and internal customers during all phases of software development life cycle
Responsible for several parallel tasks as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team of systems and software engineers.
Work autonomously with little to no supervision
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years' experience programming in C++ 3+ years' experience developing software for the Linux Operating System
3+ years’ experience with C++ software development in a Windows operation system environment
3+ year’ experience with designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications, Client-server Architectures) and a solid foundation in computer science and software development
1+ years’ experience with Git
Experience with Agile/Scrum
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with IR technologies and development of software for use in an IR environment
Experience with embedded software development
Experience with IR and AFSIM software integration and test
Experience with modelling and simulation
Experience with various platforms integration
Experience with Geospatial Information System
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard .
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
